The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time Procurement Specialist role in Co. Offaly on behalf of a very successful pharmaceutical distribution company.

The role is fully office based.

Salary up to €50,000 plus pension, health insurance contribution. 

Main duties: 

  • Assist the procurement team in sourcing and assessing new suppliers.
  • Help manage monthly stock orders and business forecasting by monitoring anticipated demand levels.
  • Support product line replenishment by managing back orders and addressing shortfalls.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and professional responses to all customer inquiries related to orders.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve potential customer or order issues.
  • Oversee daily supply chain activities.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in the logistics process.
  • Aid in developing processes to ensure compliance with key supply chain requirements.
  • Maintain clear daily communication with the sales team to support customer needs and timelines.
  • Compile and report weekly and monthly data in alignment with KPI reporting.
  • Contribute positively to uphold high standards of GDP compliance and customer service.
  • Ensure administrative procedures are well-documented and regularly reviewed in accordance with RP directives and HPRA guidelines.
  • Participate in various projects and group meetings as needed.
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

The Person

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer service / purchasing role within a professional office environment.
• Purchasing experience within the pharmaceutical sector a distinct advantage.
• Strong business acumen
• High level proficiency in the MS Office Suite required
• Experience managing multiple priorities and working to strict deadlines.
• Proven organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical skills and ability with strong attention to detail
• Proficient verbal, written, presentation and communication skills – fluent English essential.
• Composure and professionalism at all times, even when under pressure
