The Role

Human Resources Generalist – PART TIME/STAND ALONE ROLE

€45,000 Pro Rata

4- 6 month contract

This role is a part-time, standalone HR role and as such the successful candidate will be responsible for the full employee life cycle.
This will require a candidate that has had exposure to a broad range of HR activities at a variety of levels.
The successful candidate will ideally possess experience in Recruitment & On-boarding, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, HR admin and experience in a similar environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • In consultation with the senior management team, ensure the HR and Business strategy is achieved;
  • Provide advice regarding Employee Relations;
  • Regularly review, monitor and update procedures to ensure continued compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Advise and inform of any legislative changes from a HR perspective and provide solutions where appropriate;
  • Maintenance of all HR records;
  • Provide training to staff and volunteers of the cathedral e.g. Induction training, GDPR training and Dignity at Work training.
  • Provide Board Reports on HR items relating to recruitment, training and other projects.
  • Assist with the end to end employee life cycle process in relation to vacancies at all levels within the relevant teams. This will include job spec creation, job advertising, interviewing and supporting the selection process.
  • Lead HR related initiatives such as employee wellbeing and performance management.
  • Liaise with our outsourced Finance company to authorise and instruct payroll and pension data;
  • Any other duties that are deemed reasonable and appropriate.

The Person

  • Full membership of CIPD is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years HR experience working in a HR Function.
  • Experience of supporting managers with HR issues;
  • Competent decision maker and capable of providing practical HR advice to the management team which ensures HR compliance.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization;
  • Use own initiative to resolve queries;
  • Have an excellent understanding and up to date knowledge of HR policies and procedures;
  • Display a strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrable strong stakeholder management experience;
  • Strong track record in on time delivery of all tasks.
