The Role

Finance Manager Part Time North Co Dublin

Permanent-Part Time 2-3 days per week

Following a recent acquisition of the Business by a private equity infrastructure fund, our client has  an excellent opportunity for a motivated Finance Business Partner to lead the Irish finance function. The finance team includes a senior finance administrator. Reporting to the CEO and board, this role would be suitable for a fully qualified accountant possessing the drive to put their own stamp on this newly created role

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of Board meeting packs including, KPIs, forecasting etc
  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations
  • Overseeing and coordinating budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
  • Overseeing internal controls
  • CAPEX and cashflow management
  • Responsible for coordinating the month end close process
  • Coordination of the annual audit with external auditors
  • Preparation and review of statutory Financial Statements
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and liaising with external tax advisers
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation and reviewing the monthly aged debtor and creditor reports
  • Support adhoc projects as they arise (e.g. strategic planning and expansion)

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Ability to work effectively under your own initiative and take responsibility for your own working scope
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organisation, good judgement showing logical decision-making and have a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Seeks to continually improve work processes and find ideas for more effective ways of working
  • Self-motivated, self-driven, and a self-starter looking to add real value to the role
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English essential

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in accounting form an accredited college or university
  • Registered member of relevant accountants body
  • Relevant PQE in industry is a distinct advantage
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, with excellent excel skills
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and system digitisation (Sage 50 experience an advantage but not essential)
  • Industry experience preferred but not essential
