Position: Senior Accountant
Permanent-Office Based, Finglas
The Role
We are looking to recruit an Senior Accountant to join our team on a permanent basis. This role reports to the Head of Finance and is based in our Finglas, Dublin office. This position offers the right person a varied, dynamic, and interesting role that will provide exposure to many aspects of the end-to-end accounting function and will suit someone who is goal orientated, diligent and comfortable working on their own initiative or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial management background and be a quick learner with a high attention to detail. We are looking for someone energetic, highly organised and who thrives in a varied work environment.
Principal Accountabilities
• Managing accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable,
General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, monitor ven-dor and supplier and purchasing information to ensure accuracy
• Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
• Creating monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
• Ensuring all reporting is compliant with statutory law and financial regulations
• Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Act and behave in professional ethical way at all times
• Streamlining and improving accounting systems and operations
• Overseeing the management of cash flow and debt collection
• Supervising and managing financial department staff
• Managing the audit process and liaising with external personnel as required
• Ensure proper credit control and produce ageing reports and take action to rectify old or bad debts
• Assisting the Head of Finance in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members
• Ensure data integrity and co-operate to ensure the protection of company data IT security

The Person
Qualifications/Experience:
• The person appointed will be a qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Accountant as certified by the
relevant qualification authority
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines
• Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
• Strong IT/Systems experience
• Experience with Access Dimensions or similar ERP systems advantageous
• Proficiency using accounting software and other IT applications including Excel, Word and
PowerPoint
