The Role
My client, a leading Warehouse & Distribution company located in Dublin 12 is looking to hire a National Transport Planner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established company that values it's employees and rewards hard work & success.
Work as part of an integrated transport planning team your main duties are as follows
- Ensure company guidelines and quality service are always maintained
- Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, overseas offices, and agents
- Responsible for communicating with customers and understanding customer requirements
- Co-ordinate in the planning process for both the domestic and export distribution.
The Person
Skills & Experience
- Ability to multi-task and work methodically in a fast paced environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ transport planning experience (within a Haulage Company)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Planning and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of road network within Ireland and UK
- Self-motivated and ambitious and enjoy working in a busy environment
- Computer literate (Excel / Word etc.)
